As a native to Indianapolis and lifelong resident of Indiana, Dr. Joseph Glazier is deeply committed to providing accessible health care to numerous communities in Indiana.
Due to Dr. Glazier’s outstanding scholastic performance and achievements, Butler University accepted him into the highly competitive accelerated pre-medicine program. There, he received a double major in zoology and chemistry upon graduating in 1970, cum laude. He continued his medical education at Indiana University Medical School, where he graduated in 1973.
In 1974, he began his Family Practice internship at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. According to Dr. Glazier, this important program enabled him “to obtain a general background in multiple medical disciplines”. The following year, he began his Anesthesia residency until its completion in 1977.
Joseph Glazier MD became an attending anesthesiologist at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center of South Bend in 1977. His main responsibilities included general Anesthesia cases and pain management procedures. After more than 25 years of mainly clinical Anesthesia cases, Dr. Glazier shifted his focus towards pain management care procedures. Pain Management Care PC was founded to better serve the communities of Michiana in Northern Indiana and Grant County in Central Indiana.
By dedicating his practice solely to pain management, Dr. Glazier has been able to successfully treat and manage countless complicated pain management patients with advanced procedures especially around the neck and spine. Dr. Glazier continues to integrate the latest evidence-based medical therapies to provide his patients with additional treatment options, as well as offering on-site neurological diagnostics for patient convenience. More recently, Dr. Glazier has incorporated innovations from regenerative medicine to further expand his repertoire of techniques to manage pain and facilitate rehabilitation.
